miele has released their first-ever cordless stick vacuum, the triflex hx-1.

they are already well-known for their high-quality series of canister vacuums, but how do their cordless models compare?

in this article, we'll walk you through the three triflex models, explain their cleaning options, and compare them to their existing canister vacuums.

you will learn about a few issues as well.

by the end, you'll know if this is the right choice for your home.

there's a lot to dive into, so let's get started.

the 3 miele triflex hx-1 cordless stick vacuums

the triflex line consists of three different models the triflex hx-1, triflex hx-1 cat and dog, and lastly, the triflex hx-1 pro.

miele triflex hx-1 in grey - $499

the most basic model is the triflex hx-1 for $499. the hx-1 features a 60-minute battery, a wall mount, a charger, three different attachments, and a bagless filtered canister to trap and lock allergens.

miele triflex hx-1 cat & dog - $699

the mid-tier model is called triflex hx-1 cat & dog, which sells for $699. this model is designed for pet owners with a specialty internal hepa filter and a separate electrified handheld mini brush to pick up pet hair and dander.

miele triflex hx-1 pro - $799

their best model is called the triflex hx-1 pro at $799. this vacuum offers a second battery and separate charger allowing for up to two hours of continuous vacuuming.

the unit also features an led light on the head of the floor attachment to see under furniture.

miele triflex hx-1 vacuum configurations

every triflex model can be reconfigured in three different ways.

comfort configuration

the first configuration (and the one you’ll most likely use the most) is the comfort configuration. this configuration is great for vacuuming floors and cleaning up quick messes like dirt and crumbs.

it works well, and the headpiece is great for grabbing long hair out of the carpet.

it also allows you to stand the unit upright and lock in place for easy stowing or charging.

reach configuration

the second configuration is called the reach configuration. the reach configuration is designed to vacuum hard to reach area and removes cobwebs from the corners of ceilings.

compact configuration

the final configuration is the compact configuration. this attachment is excellent for vacuuming furniture and getting pet hair out of upholstery. the crevice attachment is the best for getting in-between the cushions.

this is also a good configuration to vacuum your car.

advantages of the miele triflex hx-1 vacuum

the bagless dust canister on the triflex can hold a lot for a cordless vacuum. if you live in a small home or apartment, you should be able to vacuum your home at least three or four times before emptying.

the triflex is a good solution for an every-day vacuum.

it works well on hardwood, gets the hair out of carpets, and is easy to store because it doesn't take up a lot of room in limited storage areas.

one of the best parts of this vacuum is that it was designed to fit under counters. this is the area we all tend to neglect the most, and it also probably collects the most dust, dirt, and crumbs.

the head of this vacuum glides along the edges and captures all the debris that a larger vacuum wouldn't be able to access without the use of a hose attachment.

miele triflex hx-1 challenges

you will like the hx1 because it's portable, has helpful attachments, and the ability to morph into any size for various uses.

however, the triflex has a smaller beater brush in the vacuum head than a canister, which won't be conducive to larger plush carpeted areas.

it's also cordless, so eventually, it will run out of charge in a larger house with multiple rooms.

the dust container is much smaller than a regular vacuum.

you won't love emptying the triflex or any other bagless vacuum.

you should know this releases some of the dust and allergens previously collected back into the house; so, it's best to go outside with your trash barrel when emptying it.

miele's most powerful vacuums are still their canister line.

their bagged vacuums eliminate having to touch the dust, pet dander, and dirt.

these vacuums have a huge capacity at 4.5 quarts, so you don't have to empty for three months vs. three uses like the triflex.

miele's canister vacuums have six layers of filtration and can filter 99.7% of allergens and capture 0.01% of a micron of dust. they are the best hepa vacuum on the market.

you also have many similar attachments like the wand and crevice tool and a more robust electric beater brush for plush carpets.

however, the triflex is lighter and easily maneuverable. you can vacuum outside areas and your car with ease because it's cordless.

bagless vacuums are also cheaper to maintain because you don't have to replace bags a few times a year.

if you are the owner of a larger home, the triflex would be an excellent supplemental vacuum to purchase and have on deck for daily maintenance and convenience.

should you buy the miele triflex hx-1 vacuum?

absolutely. the miele trilflex vacuum is a well-made alternative to a corded vacuum that makes cleaning a lot faster and easier.

it's perfect for a quick sweep of the house or your vehicle to maintain upkeep.

it's good to get crumbs and dirt tracked in daily, and small messes like a spilled flowerpot or broken glass.

the triflex is an excellent vacuum for smaller apartments with hardwood or thinner carpets. however, you should consider other bagged miele canister vacuums if you have medium and high ply carpets.
