Barbour Ponds features 60 campsites, great fishing for rainbow trout, catfish,
crappie and bass, and excellent bird watching for waterfowl and many other species.
In the shadow of spectacular Long's Peak, Barbour Ponds State Park is a quiet
retreat located between Denver and Fort Collins off I-25. The four ponds in this
popular park boast some of northern Colorado's best warm-water fishing. The park
is also home to many beautiful and entertaining waterfowl and wildlife. During
the winter, Barbour Ponds serves as a home to bald eagles. Barbour Ponds is just
30 miles north of Denver, is convenient, quiet and charming. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are only minutes from Ft Collins and Denver, making us a great place to get
away! Our entrance station is open Tuesday thru Saturday, and self service at
all other times. We are looking forward to seeing you soon! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Come enjoy the pleasant view of the ponds and Long's Peak while picnicking, bird
watching, hiking, camping, fishing, and most of all, relaxing. We are open to
camping and fishing all winter. A NO FIRE BAN IS IN EFFECT AT BARBOUR PONDS!

Directions - Exit I-25 on Colorado 119 west, then north on County Road
7 until it ends into County Road 24 1/2. Turn right to the park entrance.
